Carol Christian Poell: A true experimentalist with a couturier’s approach to the avant-garde. Each hand-made object that leaves his studio is bespoke, a hybrid of artistic experimentation and traditional Milanese leatherwork.
Inspired by the Art Povera movement, The designer radically transforms familiar forms into decomposed objects. Each piece is imbued with this Romanticist philosophy: an amalgam of the grotesque and the beautiful.
High-top sneakers in wrinkled Kangaroo leather. Tonal lace-up closures with oxidised metal hardware, padded collar, tonal pull at heel. Side vents, metal scar detail over ankle. Dipped latex rubber sole.
