Runway look 14 from Alexander Mcqueen's Fall Winter 1999 "The Overlook" Collection.
Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's seminal film The Shining (1980), McQueen Named his runway after the hotel in which the majority of the film was set. "The Overlook" was a meditation on loneliness and the dilapidation of the human spirit. Animalistic howls and storms of snow whirled around frostbitten ghostly models clad in cobwebs and gothic motifs, recalling the tragic outcome of the narrative.
This hooded pullover is constructed from leather-stitched suede panels, with the soft pelt exposed at the curved hem and cuffs. Slim fit, straight silhouette. PR sample as marked on care tag. A museum piece presented in exceptional condition. Specialist dry clean only
